EFT "BASIC RECIPE"
ACUPOINTS
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) "Basic
Recipe" tapping points in sequence, with meridian and acupoint
identification. For summary of the technique and to view these
points, see "EFT on a Page" downloads in AMT's Online Information Centre
(http://www.theamt.com). Also see
Introductions section or use site's Search. Or visit EFT website
(manuals, videos, case studies, and more), http://www.emofree.com.
Setup:
Sore Spot (a neurolymphatic reflex area on
chest)
or Karate Chop point (SI-3 acupoint on side of
hand)
Sequence:
EB, Beginning of the Eyebrow: Bladder
Meridian, BL-2
SE, Side of the Eye:
Gallbladder Meridian, GB-1
UE, Under the Eye: Stomach Meridian,
ST-1
UN, Under the Nose: Governing Vessel,
GV-26
Ch, Chin: Conception Vessel,
CV-24

HT-9
KC, Karate Chop: Small Intestine Meridian,

9 Gamut Procedure:
Gamut Point: Triple Energizer Meridian,
TE-3
Note: Ring finger and Liver Meridian are
not tapped in "Basic Recipe." (Some people add an "under breast" point on
the Liver Meridian, LR-14, to their EFT routine.)
Gary Craig's "Ultimate Therapist" workshop
videos demonstrated shortcuts to this Basic Recipe (focusing on points EB thru
UA, and generally skipping finger acupoints and 9 gamut). Also introduced
3 "new comprehensive points" (transcript, p. 274):
o Top of Head (GV-20)
o Inner Gate -- inside of wrist about 3
fingers towards the elbow from the crease at base of hand (PC-6)
o Inside of leg about 4 fingers up from
the protruding "ankle bone"
MERIDIAN NAMES &
ABBREVIATIONS
Top-listed designations for meridians are taken
from "Standard International Nomenclature," http://www.medical-acupuncture.co.uk/journal/authors.shtml. Names/codes
listed here as "aka" (also known as) are not "wrong" -- some are very
common, some rare, all scrounged from miscellaneous reading. To view
meridians or learn about specific acupoints, refer to "All About Meridians"
links in AMT's Online Information Centre, http://www.theamt.com.

Some other ways you might see
meridians listed/described...
Bilateral &
Midline: One way you'll see these terms used is contrasting the
12 regular/primary meridians (bilateral) with the Conception and Governor
Vessels (midline front and back).
Another way (taken from John Diamond's
"Life Energy", pages 101, 139, and 191):
Bilateral Meridians (test points
are bilaterally represented; and one of these meridians will test weak when
subject is right-hemisphere dominant): Lung, Liver, Gallbladder, Spleen,
Kidney, Large Intestine.
Midline Meridians (test points are
in midline; one of these meridians will test weak when subject is
left-hemisphere dominant): Pericardium, Heart, Stomach, Triple Energizer,
Small Intestine, Bladder.
Yin & Yang: This is a
complex subject -- but meridian-wise, LU, HT, PC & SP, KD, LR are considered
yin (feminine/receptive/inward, etc). LI, SI, TE & ST, BL, GB
are considered yang (masculine/active/outward, etc.).
Hand or Foot (depending on whether
energy path starts or ends at hand vs foot): In the 3 yin meridians of the
hand, energy flows from the chest to fingers (Lung, Heart, Pericardium).
The 3 yang meridians of hand run from fingers to head/face (Large Intestine,
Small Intestine, Triple Energizer). The 3 yin meridians of foot flow
from foot/toes up to chest (Spleen, Kidney, Liver). And 3
yang meridians of foot from face down to toes (Stomach, Bladder,
Gallbladder).
Meridian flow wheel or clock, 2-hour
period of peak energy: (Hand Yin) Lung Meridian 3-5am; (Hand Yang)
Large Intestine 5-7am; (Foot Yang) Stomach 7-9am; (Foot Yin) Spleen 9-11am;
(Hand Yin) Heart 11am-1pm; (Hand Yang) Small Intestine 1-3pm; (Foot Yang)
Bladder 3-5pm; (Foot Yin) Kidney 5-7pm; (Hand Yin) Pericardium 7-9pm; (Hand
Yang) Triple Energizer 9-11pm; (Foot Yang) Gallbladder 11pm-1am; (Foot Yin)
Liver Meridian 1-3am.
5 Elements or Phases & 5
Seasons: Wood/Spring (Liver and Gallbladder); Fire/Summer (Heart,
Pericardium, Small Intestine, Triple Energizer); Earth, Late/Indian Summer
(Spleen, Stomach); Metal/Autumn (Lung, Large Intestine); Water/Winter (Kidney,
Bladder).
