SOME HIGH-PROFILE BODY PARTS
1. Amygdala Home Page Amygdalae have gotten more press these days as focus of Neil Slade's "frontal lobes supercharge." ("Amygdala clicking" and "frontal lobe popping" info at http://www.viewzone.com/brain.magic.html.)
2. Emotional Stress Release Points "Whenever you feel under pressure, hurt or shocked, take the emotional edge off by holding your Emotional Stress Release points"..."neurovascular holding points"... "Put your fingertips on your forehead, above your eyebrows..." (Illustrated.) http://www.enhancedlearning.com/tips.htm
3. Septum Pellucidum This area of brain is focus of Pete Sanders' "Joy Touch." Joy Touch discussion in MeridianTherapy egroup archives (message #2908, 7/24/00): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/meridiantherapy/message/2908
4. The sometimes elusive Sore Spot In TFT (Callahan) and EFT (Craig), the "sore spot" is used to treat psychological reversals. This spot is a pressure point or reflex on the lymphatic system (see "Neurolymphatic Reflexes" below). Per Fred Gallo ("Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods," p. 85): "The neurolymphatic reflexes are located throughout the body, but especially between the ribs (intercostal), in the pelvic region, and along the spine. The reflex employed by Callahan is located between the second and third ribs on the left side, several inches away from the sternum."

In EFT, it doesn't matter whether you rub sore spot on left or right side of chest. Instructions are illustrated in "The Basic Recipe" chapter of Gary Craig's Emotional Freedom Techniques Manual. That manual is available as a free download at Craig's wonderfully comprehensive site (http://www.emofree.com), and also via download section of AMT's Info Ctr.
Individual pages from "The Basic Recipe" can be viewed in public archives of Dayuwanti D'Sa's EFT Tap 'n Be Free egroup (look for message #56): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EmotionalFreedomTechniques/
Sore spots are also illustrated on the very useful "EFT on a page" downloads at AMT's Info Ctr: http://www.theamt.com
5. Temporal Lobes Try one of the many Anatomy links below to learn where temporal lobes are inside your head. Or, here's an illustration: http://www.waiting.com/brainanatomy.html#anchor2729415. Outside is the place to do temporal tapping, recently popularized by Eden, Gallo, Nims and others. You'll find illustrated instructions for the famous "Temporal Tap" in Christine Sutherland's EFT & BSFF ebooks, available as free downloads at her terrific Lifeworks Group site: http://www.lifeworks-group.com.au (click "Products")
6. The Forgotten Thymus An amygdala has a homepage, but the thymus has a book. Skim table of contents by Ronald Alan Duskis and scroll to "What Affects the Thymus Gland." Quoting from John Diamond, MD: "Besides being affected by stress and emotional states, the thymus is strongly influenced by an individual's physical environment, social relationships, food, and posture..." Also see "Tests for the Thymus Gland" re thymus test-touch point (sternomandibular joint) and the effect of a smile. http://thymoma.de/thymoma/book.htm
EVERYTHING ELSE -- A BODY OF KNOWLEDGE
Innerbody -- Human Anatomy Online ** Interactive, searchable, very useful. Click on a system such as Nervous, Endocrine, Muscular, Skeletal, Cardiovascular, etc. View images, see animations, or search descriptions. (This site has separate section on "Automotive Learning Online" where you can view car innards.) http://www.innerbody.com/htm/body.html
Anatomical Directional Terms Tiny but useful glossary. "Directional terms describe the position of structures relative to other structures or locations in the body." Anterior, caudal, distal, rostral, ventral, etc. http://biology.about.com/library/b/terms.htm
Anatomy/Physiology Many links to info on body parts and processes hand-picked by About.com's Biology guide. Includes links to neuroanatomy. Articles, forums, chat, newsletter. http://biology.about.com/science/biology/cs/anatomyphysiology/index.htm
Lumen Learn 'Em You got your Nerves, a Bone Box, Master Muscle List, and more. See the difference between a gluteus minimus and maximus. See what happens when you have no muscles. http://www.meddean.luc.edu/lumen/MedEd/GrossAnatomy/learnem/learnit.htm
Individual Primitive and Postural Reflexes "Much has been written about the attainment of the major motor milestones during the various stages of a child's development. However, the fact that these important stages correspond very closely to reflex chronology (emergence through to inhibition) is less well documented..." (e.g., "Agoraphobia panic victims...still retain the Moro reflex.") http://www.inpp.org.uk/INPP_4_1_primitive_postural.htm
Neurovascular (NV) & Neurolymphatic (NL) Reflexes Some background re Bennet, Chapman, Goodheart by the International College of Applied Kinesiology. From homepage, click "General AK Info," then "Learn the basics," then "Tools" to find info re NV reflexes, NL reflexes, muscle-organ/gland association, therapy localization, and more. http://www.icakusa.com/general.html
Becoming Human Journey thru story of human evolution in a broadband documentary experience. See glossary. http://www.becominghuman.org/
Brains: Mine's Bigger Than Yours... Lots of clickable ways of looking at how "we" compare to "animals," encephalization-wise. "Have you ever wondered what makes us humans different from, say, a rat?" "The purpose of this website is to make science, in particular neuroscience, accessible and interesting..." See Glossary with links to images, Bibliography, Links. http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/bb/kinser/Home1.html
How Your Brain Sees You At Discover's homepage, click to see "Neuroquest" Department by Eric Haseltine. Then click to link to article "How Brain Sees You," and see the homonculus. Many other articles in Neuroquest, such as short interactive quiz, "Are You Dyslexic?" http://www.discover.com
What is the True Nature of Reality? The Basics of Quantum Healing, a speech by Deepak Chopra, 1991. "Every cell in our body is actually a mind." ... "when you say, 'I have a sad heart,' then you literally have a sad heart... If you say, 'I'm bursting with joy,' a scientist could look at your skin. He'll find it loaded with emipramine which is an antidepressant... If you say 'I feel exhilerated unbounded and joyful,' and I was to examine your blood, I would find high levels of interluken and interferon which are powerful anticancer drugs." http://www.ascension-research.org/reality.html
