We tapped the exact core statement from the set up, the reminder phrase, ie
"always so hungry" on the points.

I didn't do any SUDs with that. Once the client tapped, for example, the
"always so hungry" round, she sighed and thought about it all for a moment.
I then ask, "If you think about that statement, I'm always so hungry, what
comes to mind?" or some phrase like that, and this client then said, "Hungry
isn't the right word, really. It's more like I feel I'm starving, it's
stupid, I know, I'm fat as hell and always stuffing myself, yet it always
feels like I'm starving."

So I said, "Well if you're starving, and food doesn't alleviate it, what are
you starving for?"

And she said, "I feel so alone, so terribly unloved. I'm starving of love."

Which then provided the next statement.

Theroretically, and if it had been intended as a teaching example rather
than a real client, you could have stopped and tapped for the last part of
the client's statement, ie "It always feels like I'm starving". I didn't do
it bec. this client was pretty good on cognition and very in touch with the
whole thing in order to save time.
