The "Selfie" has reached new levels of popularity this month, thanks to Cancer Reasearch UK's new No Make-Up Selfie for Cancer Awareness campaign. The idea is to take a photo of yourself without any make-up on, post it on your social media profiles and help raise awareness for the charity. The campaign has already raised over £2m.
But many people still find it very difficult to take a No Make-Up Selfie and feel good about it. In this article, Silvia Hartmann offers a technique to overcome this, and to feel great about yourself and your selfie!
Have you ever gone through periods in your life where everything seemed to be closing in on you as you coped with one problem after another? When we're in those kinds of situations, it's hard to see the way forward and it's easy to feel you're completely stuck. When the pressure descends, you can feel so embedded in your situation that it's hard to believe things could ever change. With so little space in your mind to think clearly, let alone make decisions, panic arises, spirits descend and trying to stay on an even keel becomes an exhaustive and perilous balancing act.

There are all these programs about people in trouble and NOBODY is actually helping them with what's wrong.
Doesn't matter if it's programs on hoarding, on the 20 stone teenager, on people who have had operations go wrong or people who have been in terrible accidents and plane crashes, victims of crime, addictions and compulsions - everybody is suffering and NOBODY is helping them.
We really do need to raise public awareness of our existence, and a straightforward way to do this is to let people know that you exist, and that you are an expert on emotions.
EmoTrance and EFT Master Practitioner John Blosse from Brighton, UK writes: I'm sometimes asked what I can heal people of, or what my success rate is. My answer to this is 'I don't heal anyone and the success rate is not mine. It doesn't and never will belong to me'. What's more, if someone tells you that they can heal your issue then they are coming from ego and your potential for healing will be limited.
