Robin has a broad experience and training in offering services to others. He
took a first degree in psychology and went on to be employed as a probation
officer and child protection in the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s. He became
involved in counselling in the North-east of England and, in the late 1980’s,
with CRUSE Bereavement Care in Scotland. After four years in academia, he worked
a full-time freelance worker specialising in training, counselling and
professional supervision. He completed additional training in supervision and
systemic therapy in the early 1990’s and his Masters in Counselling Psychology
at the end of the decade. He obtained his Chartership from the British
Psychological Society in 2000. His special interests are in loss and change,
trauma management, brief therapy and services to employees. Robin has additional
training in Clinical Hypnosis, Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR),
Meridian Therapies (EFT), Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and Traumatic
Incident Reduction (TIR).
