Shayn has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is Past-President of the Colorado Counseling Association. He is certified as an advanced practitioner and trainer in EmoTrance, an exciting and effective modality of energy healing. He also is certified as an algorithm level Thought Field Therapy (TFT) practitioner.

Shayn has always held a strong interest in healing. In the early 1970s he wrote college papers on the healings of Jesus and the power of positive thinking. As a student of theosophical and metaphysical thought, he would help friends clear up sinuses and other physical discomforts.
