There is just one year to go until the biggest energy event of our time, the GoE Energy Conference 2016, our very first conference as The Guild of Energists! GoE Director, Alex Kent, tells us more about this momentous becoming, and why we are changing our name from The GoE, to The GoE.
I am very pleased to announce that on this day, in exactly one year's time, the very first GoE Energy Conference will open its doors, and welcome all who love modern energy work as much as we do.
This will be our first mass-gathering of energists under our new Guild Of Energists banner, and we very much welcome you to join us. There will be much to celebrate!
At our final GoE Energy Conference in October, I had the pleasure of giving the closing speech to our delegates, and I spoke about the vision for the new expanded organisation going forward.
But why change from The GoE to GOE?
That’s very simple to explain. The GoE was founded in 1998 under the name, The Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies. Scroll forward to 2015, and the majority of our 1,400 members are using energy modalities for way more than just in a therapy context!
GoE is going to continue embrace our traditional therapy background, whilst also looking to expand into new and exciting opportunities to offer professionals and the general public solutions on important topics such as self-help, stress management, inspiration and creativity.
Our mission is now about increasing energy flow in individuals, groups, projects and businesses, with the aim of making people happier, more excited, more confident, and to feel better and stronger positive emotions.
The following words by GoE Chair Silvia Hartmann, sums this up nicely;
“There is only energy, and the absence of energy.”
Looking back, we are extremely proud of The AMT’s foundations established in the 1990s, providing high-quality professional EFT training programs for both working therapists and those that used it for self-help. We now have active members in around about 60 different countries, and they have helped countless people find emotional freedom.
Yet, since the launch of Silvia’s EFT Master Practitioner course in 2011, and Positive EFT in 2013, it has become clear that freedom from pain, is just the initial step towards emotional well-being, as they move their way up the SUE Scale.
GoE will be a much more holistic organisation where anyone and everyone will benefit from increasing their energy flow. Yes, that will include people seeking therapy, but will also include the general population who function perfectly normally, yet are looking for better ways to handle stress, be inspired, or become more creative individuals.
We are very excited about this potential for inspiring more and more energists to become interested in the energy paradigm shift, and we very much welcome you to join me, Silvia, and the rest of the GoE team, right at the start of this adventure, in Eastbourne on November 12-13 2016.
