Welcome to The AMT - Home of EFT, Energy EFT, EmoTrance, Energists & Modern Energy
Current EFT Master Practitioner distance learning course student Carole Gordon writes: The client was a woman, aged around forty. She had two young children, a working husband, and she worked part-time herself and was undertaking a training course at a university. Her pain came to light when she kept missing appointments, or mistaking times. One day she explained that she lived constantly with chronic back pain. She had completed the medical investigations some years ago, and tests and scans had failed to positively identify the cause of the pain. She became a constant user of morphine patches, which she expected to be using for the rest of her life. She monitored the level of morphine herself, and at high levels, she was aware that she became a little 'spaced out', and it was at these times that she might become forgetful of other commitments in her life. This distressed her since she regarded herself as a reliable sort of person.
Using EFT with this client was a challenge, since her negative beliefs about anything working were quite strong. On the other hand, she was willing to 'give it a try'.

The AMT is flourishing right now, and we have plenty to tell you about this month. First up is the Mind Body Spirit Festival in London this weekend, where we'll be promoting EFT to over 20,000 visitors, but that's not the only exciting event planned. We're also delighted to announce two brand new trainings, Positive EFT from AMT Chair Silvia Hartmann, and TimeLineEFT from AMT Trainer Peter Delves. Not to mention the fantastic array of articles and case stories sent in by you, our members. Oh, and how could I forget, there's also the news that the Daily Mail has declared its love for EFT! Read on for all of this and more...

In this issue:
The AMT has been promoting EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques since 1998, and in that time we've seen hundreds of thousands of people across the world improve their lives dramatically thanks to the simple technique.
In 2013, popularity for this gentle and effective healing modality seems to be rising to previously unprecedented levels, first with self-help guru Louise Hay declaring her love for the technique, and now even the Daily Mail in the UK have expressed amazement at how well it works!
EFT Master Practitioner Suheyla Pinar Alper from Turkey writes: Aylin, is a 17 year-old, bubbly, sensitive teenager, a first-year psychology student at university, whom I met at a friend's engagement party. When she heard I was an energist, a personal development consultant as well, she caught me at one corner of the room to whisper to me that she would love to come see me for a few sessions.
When we finally met, she told me that she had difficulty dealing with her feelings regarding 8-10 year-old little girls. She resented them, and whenever they came close to anyone she loved, she actually experienced intense hatred...

AMT Trainer Tony Leake from Nottinghamshire, England writes: Heather has previously done a couple of EFT sessions with me. Although she got a lot from them but hasn't been for a while. She described the previous sessions as being very intense and had found that talking about previous aspects had been uncomfortable for her.
I suggested that we try another session with EmoTrance as a way to help her without ever needing to talk which she agreed would be a good thing...

EmoTrance and EFT Master Practitioner John Blosse from Brighton, UK writes: I'm sometimes asked what I can heal people of, or what my success rate is. My answer to this is 'I don't heal anyone and the success rate is not mine. It doesn't and never will belong to me'. What's more, if someone tells you that they can heal your issue then they are coming from ego and your potential for healing will be limited.
EFT Master Practitioner-in-training Carole Gordon writes: I love 'secret therapy'. This case concerned a female client in her mid-fifties, and I knew that the issue involved sexual abuse, but beyond that I had no specific details at all. The client found it difficult to talk about it. As such, it was perfectly suited to secret therapy, ie. energy work in which the therapeutic focus is the energy body, without engaging cognitively in the story. It enables the client to remain the custodian of her secret, without disclosing embarrassing or shameful details to the therapist.

AMT Trainer and new EFT Master Practitioner Denise Jacques has written a case story involving a client with mother issues, whom Denise helps by using aspects.
Denise writes: Sonia was a regular client of mine and we had worked very successfully together. A lot of her issues related to her mother and there was one very damaging event that had come to her that had happened 20 years when she was 35 which she wanted to deal with. I explained to Sonia about working with aspects and she was very keen to try this out and rescue her 35 year old aspect. She appreciated the important of not using the first person to describe her experiences and was happy to use the term 'the aspect'. I checked Sonia's stress level and she was fine so I asked her to begin outlining the event and she started her story...
In this case story, new AMT EFT Master Practitioner Tanya Lyons tells of a client that came to her suffering from a variety of symptoms that had left them emaciated, both physically and emotionally. As they begin to work together Tanya begins to feel an energetic vacuum that seems to be draining all his energy and strength.
Tanya writes: Before I met my client I wanted to feel that I was in a good and positive state to work with him, so I tapped on 'positive energy, open awareness, love and acceptance' I felt really motivated and ready to work with my client (high on the SUE scale).
My client entered the room, I was quite taken aback by how undernourished and emaciated that he looked, his cheekbones protruded on his face and he looked like he had been starved. His skin was ghostly pale and his eyes were sunk into his face...
Suheyla Pinar Alper, an EFT Master Practitioner from Istanbul, Turkey, has written a fantastic EFT case story titled "Time Travel with EFT, or: Resolving 21 Years of Recurrent Urinary Tract Infection!
Suheyla writes: This is Eylem's story, a 34 year-old young woman. She came in 5 months ago complaining of urinary tract infections she has been suffering from ever since she was 13 years old. As a result of recurring UTI's she has been on and off antibiotics since the age of 13 and for the last two years, she has been having bouts of UTI every month. She has had to go to emergency rooms a few times with high temperature, as the infection spread to her kidneys.

EFT Master Practitioner John Blosse from Brighton has written a case story that highlights the immediacy of EFT, showing how with a simple round of tapping we can overcome fundamental issues in a person's life.
In this case story it is a fear of speaking out and being assertive.

AMT Trainer Magreet Vink from the Netherlands writes: I have been a headache person for as long as I know. I fell from the back of my father's bike when I was four, had a concussion at the time and I always blamed this for my headaches. There were times when I had to take pain killers every day, just to keep functioning.
I have never been able to tap away my headaches or to EmoTrance them away. I always thought it is just something I have to live with...
Conducted on a group of United States Military Veterans suffering from PTSD, a new study has found that 90% of those receiving Emotional Freedom Techniques therapy no longer met the clinical criteria for the psychological disorder. With such compelling results, the UK's Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies praises the study, while urging everyone suffering from PTSD to come forward and accept the benefits of EFT.
The following press release was issued by The Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies on 14th February 2013...

One of the really great things about EFT is how simple it is, and how it can be used in any situation, by anyone. In this example, EFT Master Practitioner distance learning student Sue Cooke tells the story of how EFT came to the rescue in her day-job as a driving instructor, helping the student overcome the panic of a close-call behind the wheel.
Sue writes: My student was terrified and was crying, having visions of killing the person who had just run out at a pedestrian crossing. We were travelling at an appropriate speed having anticipated the situation to prevent anything from developing.
I had to gently and calmly ask her to help me by moving the car to a safe and convenient place so we could stop the car...
Pamela Free, an EFT Master Practitioner student from California, tells the case story of a client who came to her with a strong resistance to trust, and frustration within his life. With work, Pamela managed to break down these barriers and help resolve some long buried issues.
Pamela writes: Robert was referred to me by his wife, Elena, who is a client of mine. He had seen the changes that EFT made in his wife and was willing to give it a try. He was extremely shut down, his wife described him as a 'dead man walking' a lot of the time, extremely stressed with family, money and job problems and had significant PTSD from his childhood. They actually had been discussing having him go on Prozac or something similar.

The AMT are pleased to announce that we are now accepting presentation proposals for the 2013 European EFT & Energy Conference, which takes place in November.
We are keen to receive proposals on all subjects related to EFT and Energy, and you don't need to be an experienced public speaker, just passionate about your subject!
EFT Master Practitioner distance learning student Anne Marie Yates has written a case story that shows how effectivley EFT can help clients cope with panic and come to terms with bad news.
Anne writes: It was early on Monday morning when I first received a phone call from Amanda's daughter, Anita. She was so worried and concerned about her mother that she had taken a day off work because she didn't want to leave her on her own. Luckily enough, I was completely free that morning and I arranged to go to Amanda's home four miles away to do the treatment.
Welcome to the January 2013 edition of The Energist!
This first issue of 2013 is packed full of exciting news from the world of Energy, as well as plenty of case stories guarenteed to get you Energised for the year ahead. In this issue:
EFT Master Practitioner Helen Sanders has put together a case study in which the client is able to relieve great stress and pain that has built up over the years, without the need to talk about the issues.
Helen writes: Heather really did not want to talk about the issue that was causing problems, and this was one of the reasons she had not gone for help before.
It was an obvious relief for her that EFT would not involve this when using the body protocol. I could sense the relief from Heather as she relaxed when I explained this.
EFT Master Practitioner Kelly Burch writes: A good friend of mine has an autistic daughter who is a young 18 year old. One of her main challenges is to do with handling her emotions in productive ways instead of lashing out, hiding away or making inappropriate choices. I thought that explaining what emotions are and how we can use them to help us would benefit her, but also benefit many others who feel bound or stuck by emotions. This is based on the beautiful and simple Emotrance technique by Dr Silvia Hartmann.
Just before Christmas 2012 we launched our annual Christmas competition. The lucky winners were drawn at random from all the brilliant entries, and all they had to do was answer the simple question:
What is the best thing about being an Energist?

EFT Master Practitioner and Professional Energist Tony Leake writes:
This morning Julie told me that she wanted to work on 'the big one', the thing that she most has problems with in her life. From a lady who is adopted and has had a lot of problems to do with separation and abandonment along with periods of anorexia and self harm this was a huge statement.
After our usual rounds of de-stressing and energising she told me the following story...
EmoTrance & EFT Master Practitioner Suheyla Pinar-Alper from Turkey writes: This an account of a combined session (two hours) of EFT and Emotrance with the unfolding of a guiding star event. My client came in with intense back and neck pain. She left totally relaxed, pain-free and smiling.
She was a 42 year-old professional woman, married and mother of a 4-year old. She came to me suffering from intensive back pain, neck pain and stiffness. She had been receiving physiotherapy since September. On the Sue Scale she described her state as a minus 5.
