This is a real case study that I feel truly shows the body’s use of metaphors as a form of protection in deep rooted emotional issues. As a therapist, I must admit that I lost some of my professionalism while working on this case as, not only was it particularly emotional, but the client was actually my brother, Lewis. Lewis has had difficulties since he was very young. My parents persevered for years trying to find the right help. He has ADD, and as a youngster was completely hyper active, wildly imaginative and uncontrollable with little or no ability to hold his concentration to almost anything. However when he was around twelve he became the polar opposite. The change was so incredibly drastic. He became low, quiet and withdrawn – which seemed almost lazy to everyone else knowing what he had been like before. My parents have seen many specialists and doctors but have been unable to get the right help for him. Now at the age of twenty he is much more balanced but still has many difficulties and deep rooted emotional issues, as you will soon discover.

Marion Adams Writes: A long standing client of mine mentioned that her fear of birds, that had
been with her for 50 years, was getting worse and causing major problems in
her life. I had talked about energy healing but she was rather skeptical and
at first said no thank you. When I offered her a free second session, she
did say yes and made our first appointment... |

Jennie Baker Writes: During our coffee break at work I noticed that M was tearful and was trying to hide her stress. As she is a friend of mine I felt safe to enquire if she was alright and M proceeded to relate what happened.
M is a recovery nurse and was having a bad day. She was on a late shift and had a lot on her mind as she was having an operation, as a patient herself, the following day. Many years before she had a bad experience after surgery when she had many nightmares and flashbacks and was afraid it would happen again. She really wanted this surgery to correct her squint for which she had waited 30 years.

Kelly Meisak Writes: The basis of EFT (emotional freedom techniques) is that almost all physical pain and illnesses manifest themselves within the body due to stress. Stress actually comes from emotions; as we experience a vast array of circumstances, we feel emotions accordingly. However, in holding negative emotions within the body we cause disruptions in our natural energy field, and these disruptions then cause physical pain and illness as the energy is unable to flow freely as it naturally would. Never before had such a prominent emotional contributor been so apparent to me in relation to a physical ailment within the body. Notice how the subconscious begins with something seemingly insignificant, and gently unfolds its protection to reveal the layers underneath.

Kelly Meisak Writes: In February 2006 I skidded out of control in my car and crashed violently into a set of railings. My car was written off, but I exited unscathed and felt particularly lucky to only have suffered a bit of whiplash. A week later while styling a client’s hair in my hairdressing salon I collapsed suddenly. Never before had something of this nature happened to me and it was so strange and frightening. From that day onward I continued to get worse. I began fainting once or twice a day which built quickly to five or six. I suffered head rushes, constant dizziness, severe sweating, intense nausea and an exhaustion I never knew existed. At its worst I could barely walk, and standing for more than one or two minutes would cause me to collapse. My life truly fell apart around me.
This is how EFT helped me... |

Baya Salmon-Hawk Writes: I wrote this up because it was a very swift resolution of a deep trauma that happened to a new born baby. This is a good illustration of how EFT can work when we have no idea how to proceed. Getting the client to tap on whatever the physical symptom is whilst relaxing and announcing the attention of allowing whatever needs to come to the surface come can bring the most astonishing results. I had no idea that a baby could make this sort of decision and yet it had! |

Angie Muccillo Writes: While many of the physical wounds of childhood like scraped knees, broken bones and bruises heal and repair in time, a child’s deep emotional hurts can stay with them for much longer and if unresolved can certainly go on to affect a person’s developing self esteem and relationships with those around them... |

Dr Silvia Hartmann writes: Today is a special day, I just realised.
I've begun writing a
Genius Symbol course. I had a lot of requests for one,
purely because doing the course "makes me do the exercises" (which we may
presume, one otherwise wouldn't! lol!). This is true, of course, but here's
the special thing:
For the FIRST TIME, EVER, I have written the following in the pre-requisites
for this course:
Please note that it is pre-supposed on this course that you are “energy
psychology enabled”. This means that you are able to use EFT, EmoTrance or
any other energy psychology method of your choice to resolve fears,
blockages and reversals that might occur in response to these exercises.
Procrastination “I'll do that later ...” thinking “I can't do that,” being
afraid “of what I might find out about myself” or rejecting an exercise as
being “unneccessary” to your progress in this course are all examples of
blockages and reversals. Please treat them accordingly and as soon as you
become aware of their existence for the best possible FLOW OF INFORMATION.
It wasn't until I read this back that I realised that I was on the other
side of a watershed.

Kim Bradley Write's This is a story to lift the spirits of any recently qualified EmoTrance Practitioners. It dates back to when I first qualified...
This testimonial shows just how portable EmoTrance is and that even 20 minutes of it at a party can make a difference to someone. I was fresh from my Practitioner training, only 1 week previously, when I was at a party and there was someone about to go into a panic attack over balloons. I was faced with a make or break situation. I ignore this lady’s distress or I offer to help. I had had 2 glasses of wine already so was feeling a little brave as I offered my help. Thank goodness I did…. Here is Carol’s story in her own words.... |

My book Life Without Panic Attacks is due out in paperback any day now and what a buzz that is, I still can't quite believe it, what I have gone through to get here and how EFT has been there every step of the way.
It was EFT that originally cured me of my panic attacks all those years ago. It was EFT that helped me jump over my reversals to write my experiences in a book to help others. It was EFT that came to the rescue when I was revising and editing the book for print just recently. |

This is a case study of a little boy called Kieron who was 8 years old on his first treatment but progress to 9 by his second. His mummy is one of my yoga students and was very stressed when he was diagnosed as ADHD and an angry child. She, her daughter and partner, were regularly invited to family and friends but the invitation did not include Kieron as he was such a "naughty boy". He regularly came home from school with bad reports from teaching staff and was waiting to see a child psychologist. We kept the first treatment short, teaching him where to tap (using EFT)when he got really cross and this worked with good results.

From Dr Silvia Hartmann:
Earlier this year, we started a project to help people who want to write
a book so that their dream not only comes true, but that the book they
end up with is something they can be proud of, WE can be proud of having
published, and most importantly, that they should have a WONDERFUL expressive, creative experience with their first book. |

Catherine Dixon writes:EFT is best known as a therapeutic intervention to relieve emotional pain, toxic memories and collapse dis-empowering beliefs. It is also a highly effective stress management tool in situations of panic and overwhelm. The key to the efficacy of this simple technique lies in the practitioner’s facilitation skills and how creatively it is applied.

WHEN adoptive mother Claire searched for a way to help her teenage daughter she discovered Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT for short – involving tapping on the meridian points of your body with your finger-tips and likened to a needle free version of acupuncture. Here she and the therapist describes what happened. |
